This is a very good product. I tried charging an old battery and it tried its best to recover, but the battery was done. But, when plugged in, it did bring the battery back to life and I was able to charge it and I was able to start the motorcycle, a 2016 R 1200 GS.
The instructions are reasonable, but the videos are much clearer. I figured it all out in about 10 minutes. Long cables are useful. The product is lightweight and is well made. I keep new battery in charge now, especially in winter. Arrived promptly. I would certainly recommend for anyone who has a motorcycle to have one of this to keep the battery alive especially when not riding a lot.

No complaints as this charger has saved me many hundreds of dollars over those years. Today, it just won't power on. Ironically, it seems the 22 degree F may have killed it. You know, when needed the most heh. I brought it inside and placed it next to some warmth'. RIP good friend. As I'm not a fan of warranty's that require my expense for shipping and unknown depot conclusions as to why it broke will not be returning for warranty work. Some warranties are more like repair shop cost centers. If a company requires my purchase of a fairly pricey charger, then require the buyer to fund the "warranty" to see "what happened" and "who should pay"....well, too much wasted time and money for the "unkown". There are slots right down the road for that sort of thing. Anyway, very happy with the purchase. It has served me well. Will settle for somethingt less pricey since I figure top dollar should get at least a decade of service, if not more. Perhaps you whipper snappers didn't know of a time when test equipment never broke. I do. :)

This charge could have been designed better. It is almost fully automatic, with nothing to press or turn on/off and has no buttons. It does however allow the user to switch between CAN bus or direct charge methods. The instructions are the worst I have ever seen for any product. I had to read several sources and "work the math" to figure things out. Seems to work as intended but the design is its greatest downfall -- hard to learn and operate. Once you figure it out, then its easy. This charger is not ideal for CARs and bigger vehicles. It will take too long to charge, as a result the price point is too expensive for a small vehicle charger. Looking at the casing, it does not seem to be water resistant over time. If water gets on it in a downpour, I bet water will leak into it. Claims a three year warranty and endorsed by 10 "un-named" car manufacturers. That's a riot if you ask me. If you are rich and can "figure things out", its not a bad charger to buy, otherwise I cannot give it a better rating than that.

I bought this for my BMW motorcycles because they are CANBUS controlled. It works great keeping my bikes charged when I am not using them. I had a car that had sat for a year without running and this charger was able to bring that three year old battery back from the dead. If you have multiple vehicle that are not getting regular use you should pick up one of these chargers.
