Shivering above a tiny hole, hoping to land a fish, isn’t ideal. Neither is pacing up and down the ice trying to warm up and missing the bite. Piscifun just launched its insulated ice fishing suit, designed to stop the pace and keep you warm, dry, and comfortable.
Launching US-only for now – we’ll update when it crosses the border. Canadian readers: here’s how we layer for the ice instead.
Piscifun Ice Fishing Suit is Built to Withstand the Elements

Staying warm on the ice is every angler’s number one priority. Piscifun designed its jacket and bib to retain warmth even in extreme cold with its 120g insulation and flotation fill. Piscifun describes the insulation as ‘flotation material,’ but makes no certification claims and publishes no buoyancy rating. Read that as insulation that happens to be buoyant, but this is not a rated flotation device – don’t treat it as a substitute for a float suit or a PFD. Piscifun’s materials headline ‘waterproof protection,’ but every description underneath specifies a water-resistant coated shell. With sealed seams, it will shed snow, spray and wet slush. Don’t expect it to survive submersions. Sealed seams are an important feature to look for when buying clothing meant to keep you dry.
Comfort Meets Adjustability
Spending loads of time kneeling on the ice can do a number on your knees if you’re not careful. To help cushion your precious knees, Piscifun added removable knee pads to its ice fishing bib. They’re also reinforced to prevent wear, because we all know how much fun it is to slide down the ice on your knees when the fishing is slow 😉
The ice fishing bib legs feature two-way zippers to help regulate body temperature. Piscifun uses an adjustable hook-and-loop closure to protect the hem from dragging and absorbing water on the ice. For utmost comfort, the shoulder straps are also adjustable, and the elastic side waist cuffs sit against your body to keep cold air from hitting your back. The ice fishing jacket cuffs are fully adjustable too.
Safety Matters on the Ice
Ice safety is important! Piscifun addresses this by adding a reflective logo and stripes to the ice fishing suit. You’ll also find a safety whistle attached to the chest pocket for added emergency safety measures.
Organizing Your Gear
The thing I noticed is that the ice fishing jacket has pockets and lots of them. Enough to carry the small essentials. Two on the chest for things like your fishing license and/or outdoors card, and four deep pockets – two on the jacket and two on the bib. The jacket pocket is perfect for ice picks if not carrying them around your neck. A smart feature is the reinforced corner flap, which prevents damage from clips and gives you easy access to things like pliers.

Our Take
For those looking for flotation suits, this one’s not for you. Ice suits generally run between $250 and $700. If you’re looking for a decently priced ice fishing suit that’s reinforced in all the right places, has deep pockets for your personal effects and is designed to keep you comfortable for hours on the ice, the Piscifun Ice Fishing Suit is worth checking out.
