It makes the best gift idea for all occasions, from Father’s Day to birthdays, even Valentine’s Day. If you’re seeking gift guides, Bespoke Post offers a variety of options for people with different tastes and preferences.
While Bespoke Post is often associated with men’s lifestyle boxes, it also offers curated options for women. From style accessories and fashionable clothing to unique home goods like a backflow incense burner, there’s something for everyone.
What Do You Get In a Bespoke Post Box?
Boxes are curated based on your interests, whether you’re into technology, cooking, home decor, or, like me, the great outdoors. Every month, subscribers receive a box of hand-picked items from their selected interests, which can range from camping tools to mixology, even cigars!
Unboxing the Bespoke Post Subscription Box
The box we received was packaged nicely, with each item being individually wrapped. It included a sleek wood-burning stove, a durable flashlight with a tough waterproof case, and a gaiter. Since our interest is the outdoors, these items are a perfect addition to our camping, hiking, fishing and wilderness exploring.
As someone who absolutely LOVES outdoor gear, I found the items in this box to be practical and surprisingly well-made, with each product adding value to my needs. To be honest, I was nervous, thinking that it would be a subscription box filled with cheap, useless gear. Let’s take a closer look at each received Bespoke box item.
Bespoke Box Items #1: Homecamp Backcountry Stove
Let’s start with the backcountry stove, which is the showstopper of the subscription box. The outdoor stove from Homecamp arrived in a green wax cotton canvas case. Inside the case are two pockets, one for the foldable stove and the other for the two trivets and a grate. Attached to the case by paracord is a Ferro rod and striker – not the best of rods, but it’ll do.
Made from 1 mm thick high-grade 304 stainless steel, the portable multi-fuel stove weighs 1 lb 12 oz. (805 g). As for dimensions: 124 x 120 x 190 mm (4.8 x 4.7 x 7.8 inches).
The foldable stove is based on a hinge system, making setup quick and easy, as is keeping a flame going. There are plenty of air flow slots in all the right places. The wood-burning stove also features an ash collection tray for easy clean-up and ground protection. In addition, two trivets and a grate are provided for varied cooking. For pots, pans and cups, use the trivets or grill directly over the flame with the grate. As for fuel, you can use wood, charcoal, Esbit, spirit fuels, etc.
My First Impressions of the Backcountry Stove in the Monthly Subscription Box
The stove is heavy, feels solid and looks like it’s made to last. For those familiar with bushcraft stoves, this Homecamp stove is extremely similar to the popular German Bushcraft Essential Outdoor Stove Bushbox XL. So far I’m liking this stove and can’t wait to use it! Will definitely follow up with a review on the Homecamp Stove.
Item #2: VSSL Mini Utility Light
Packaged seperately in the Bespoke subscription box is the mini utility light from Canada’s VSSL. And no, it’s not just another flashlight!!! The VSSL is its own survival kit, which is absolutely brilliant. It’s thoughtful, well-designed, feels like a high-quality item and looks sleek.
Being only 50.8 mm (2 in.) in diameter, the LED survival torch is pretty impressive. It weighs 8.4 oz and measures 120.6 mm (4.75 in.) in length.
This mini utility light is a compact, waterproof survival kit. The 40-hour light features a 4-mode LED flood-beam light (bright, dim, red, and SOS), which works even when unscrewed from the rest of the aircraft-grade aluminum body. The light itself is pretty bright, although the dim feature is not that much different from the bright mode.
Inside the kit, you’ll find orange adventure tape used for trail marking, first aid, or to make quick repairs to gear or clothes. Also enclosed are two bamboo cloths that can be used to filter water, clean wounds, start fires, etc. You’ll also find an empty tin for meds, char cloth, or whatever small item you want to keep safe and secure.
The VSSL torch would make a great Bespoke gift for dad or for any runner / hiker for that matter. It takes very little room in a side or top pocket of a pack, plus it’s super useful and not just another gimmicky item for the ‘leave it and forget it’ drawer. I like it enough to add it to my day hiking backpack.
Item #3: Multi-Functional VSSL Headwear
And lastly, we have the VSSL headwear. How much can one say about a piece of fabric? I know my partner could write an entire post on it!!! LOL
I’ll say this much – the headwear features a VSSL logo pattern in green. Being a polyester microfiber, it feels incredibly soft and silky. The gaiter features a one-way stretch width-wise, making reconfiguration simple. Use it as a balaclava, neck scarf, wristband or even as a hair tie while fishing or hiking. It’s a nice little addition to the Bespoke subscription box.
Who is the Bespoke Box For?
As mentioned earlier, this particular Bespoke gift subscription box is perfect for men who love the outdoors, whether they’re into camping, backpacking, or hiking. In general, Bespoke Post makes a great gift subscription for anyone who appreciates functional, high-quality lifestyle products.
Pros & Cons of Bespoke Post Boxes

- Unique and thoughtful gift option for outdoor enthusiasts.
- Flexibility to choose boxes based on personal interests (e.g., outdoor gear, lifestyle).

- Some boxes might appeal more to specific interests (like this one being geared toward outdoor men).
Our Verdict
In our minds, we thought the box would be filled with cheap, gimmicky chakuhs that have no practical outdoor use. Overall, I admit that I am very impressed and satisfied with the contents of the Bespoke subscription box and would consider it as one of the best monthly boxes. Would we recommend it – ABSOLUTELY! I think the Bespoke box is a wonderful way to introduce someone to items that they would never buy themselves or for that person that has everything, and is looking for unique pieces from brands like Wren, Line of Trade, or Santa Fe Stoneworks.
Bespoke Post Cost
For what it’s worth, I don’t find the Bespoke Post subscription box starting price of $49 all that expensive for what you get. We bought subscription boxes for our kids, which cost way more and had no wiggle room in terms of what was arriving. And, trust me, emotions run high when both kids get the same box, on the same day!!!
I love the fact that you get a preview of the items being shipped in your next Bespoke subscription box and have the option to skip it if it’s not to your liking. Being able to pause your subscription is another huge plus in my books.
With regards to the Bespoke membership, which is free by the way, you get treated to 40% off and priority access to exclusive products and sales. Even without the Bespoke Post membership, you can still access their store to purchase some of the same items that ship out in the subscription boxes.
Bespoke Subscription FAQs
Bespoke Post themes and curation are based on a questionnaire. Don’t worry, it’s not a cumbersome process. It’s only 10 quick multiple-choice questions.
A Bespoke Post membership is free. As to the subcription boxes, those start at $49.
Absolutely! That’s the best part of Bespoke – that and the fact that you can preview your boxes.
Cancelling is super easy. Just be aware that cancellation does not take effect until the 1st of the following month.
Final Thoughts: Is Bespoke Post Worth It?
Here’s the bottom line: Bespoke Post is a ‘cheat code’ for building a high-end gear closet. While the bushbox and VSSL light in my box were impressive, they’re just the tip of the iceberg. I’ve seen them feature everything from full-sized fixed-blade knives and axes to premium dry bags and camp furniture. If you were to buy these items individually at a retail shop, you’d easily spend double. Because you get to see exactly what’s in your box before it ships, you’re never stuck with ‘junk’ – you only get the tools you actually need for your next trip.
If you’re tired of overpaying for quality gear, I highly recommend checking out their current lineup. Just a heads up: the best outdoor-themed boxes are usually the first to go.
